My goal as Executive Director was for the Art Center to be bigger than its physical footprint. With an average year-over-year membership increase of 35% under my leadership, the Firehouse became a center for an inclusive community of arts and culture. I created exhibit, education and outreach programs – many of which are still active today. By creating more collaboration between art venues, downtown businesses, and other non-profits throughout Boulder County, local arts and culture became more than a sum of its parts.
Old Firehouse Art Center is the recipient of a 2002 Nova Award from the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County.
